Microsoft 365: Your Digital Workspace

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is the core of our productivity suite at Alpha Development. This guide covers the essential applications you will use daily.

Microsoft Teams

Teams is your hub for collaboration at Alpha Development. Use it for:

  • Chat: Instant messaging with individuals or groups
  • Channels: Organized conversations by project or department
  • Meetings: Video calls with screen sharing, recording, and live captions
  • File Sharing: Collaborate on documents directly within Teams
  • Calendar: Schedule and join meetings seamlessly

Outlook

Our company email system. Key features include:

  • Focused Inbox: Automatically separates important emails from others
  • Calendar: Schedule meetings, set reminders, and share availability
  • Quick Steps: Automate common email actions (move, flag, forward)
  • Rules: Automatically organize incoming emails into folders
  • Delay Delivery: Schedule emails to be sent at a specific time

SharePoint Online

Our document management and intranet platform:

  • Document Libraries: Centralized storage for team files
  • Version History: Track changes and restore previous versions
  • Co-Authoring: Multiple people can edit documents simultaneously
  • Permissions: Control who can view, edit, or share documents

Tip: Always save your work to OneDrive or SharePoint, not your local desktop, to ensure files are backed up and accessible from anywhere.
