Understanding Company IT Policies

IT Policies Every Employee Must Follow

These policies are in place to protect Alpha Development’s data, systems, and reputation. All employees are expected to comply.

Acceptable Use Policy

  • Company devices and systems are for business use primarily
  • Limited personal use is permitted but must not interfere with work
  • Do not access inappropriate or illegal content on company devices
  • Do not install unauthorized software — always request via IT

Password Policy

  • Passwords must be at least 12 characters with mixed case, numbers, and symbols
  • Do not share passwords with anyone
  • Change your password every 90 days (system will remind you)
  • Enable MFA on all company accounts

Data Protection Policy

  • Classify data according to its sensitivity (see Data Classification guide)
  • Store work documents in OneDrive or SharePoint, not on your local desktop
  • Do not transfer company data to personal devices or cloud storage
  • Report any data breaches immediately to IT

Device Security Policy

  • Always lock your screen when stepping away (Windows Key + L)
  • Do not leave devices unattended in public places
  • Keep Windows and software updated
  • Do not disable security features (Windows Defender, BitLocker, firewall)
  • Report lost or stolen devices immediately

Internet and Email Policy

  • Do not click suspicious links or download attachments from unknown senders
  • Do not use company email for personal registrations or subscriptions
  • Report phishing attempts to security@alphadev.com.sa
  • Company internet usage may be monitored for security purposes

Violation of these policies may result in disciplinary action. If you have questions about any policy, contact HR or IT.
